Re: (ASCEND) ISDN cause code 31?
Hi David,
Sorry to have you kept waiting form my reply, but the holiday season....
Ok, I don't think that my answers will be of much help to you, because my
configuration is very diferent from you.
I am located in the Netherlands (Europe) connected to PTT Telecom and I
don't know what kind of switches they use. The protocol they should use
is NET-3 but if I configure the pipe to Net-3 it goes into faultmode so I
configure it to AT&T/P-T-P. This works ok if I connect the pipe directly
to the PTT NT-1.
However in my office, the pipe is connected via a PBX from Alcatel. PTT
tels me that the switch carries the same protocol, which is patially
correct: The pipe will only work in the configuration like above.
However I can't make any outgoing calls. I can only receive incoming
calls. (connected directly to the NT-1 the piepe will make outgoing calls
so nothing wrong with the configuration of the pipe).
Every outgoing call was ending with a 031 cause code and the pipe went in
faultmode a few seconds after the was was ended.
I pushed a mail on the net and received one helpfull hint, saying the I
should delete or truncate the "My Number" field.
This helps in so far that I don't get the fault mode after I trie to make
an outgoing call, but I still get the 031.
Sorry that I can't be of more help to you,
good luck
Robert.
