(ASCEND) "Business" Accounts, Multiple Logins
This has been discussed in a previous thread, and several solutions were
sorta' brought up here and there, but never anything along the lines I was
thinking.
The way we do things right now: We sell business accounts which come with
5 userid's, which are all valid logins / email accounts. The thing is,
we only "allow" 1 of them to be connected at a time. Ideally, if we
could, we would go back in time, and have only 1 specified login be able
to login to the system and surf the net; the rest would have filters
setup so they could only access mail. But it's kinda' too late for that
now. We've got too many business accounts, and it would be a pain in
everybody's neck for quite a while if we went ahead and did things this
way now.. So working with what we got, here's what I'd like to do:
Setup "groups" in radius somehow, and
basically specify the number of simultanenous logins are allowed within
those "groups". If one user in the group is logged in, and another
attempts to, it doesn't allow the attempting user to login, and logs the
attempt somewhere. Unfortunately, to complicate things, we have multiple
radius servers setup currently. If need be, we could probably drop it
down to 1 machine, but then this question arrises: Can 7 maxen
authenticate off of 1 radius server cleanly? <I assume this would depend
upon the machine, but there also might be some additional restrictions I'm
not aware of>.
That's a good # of questions all packed into a page. (=
Any information would be greatly appreciated in advance.
