Nope, never had any performance problems. A BRI/channel either works or
it doesn't. (That's of course what's supposed to be the nice thing about
ISDN: You don't get 31200 out of your 33600 modem!)

I wonder if you're doing any bridging. I refuse to turn on the global
bridging setting on any of my Maxen because I don't want the performance loss
incurred by putting the Ethernet into promiscuous mode. I'm probably overly
paranoid about the amount of performance you actually lose...
