Yes, this problem really sucks. It seems to be around a verry long time now.

That is not exactly true; we got it working immediately with a Zyxel Prestige-128, calling
back to our MAX-1800. The Zyxel authenticates the call with CLID, drops it and calls back
- no problems at all. The Max still runs on 5.0A. Both devices connect to a standard
Euro-ISDN from German Telekom, which is DSS1.
The Problem does exist for us only with Pipelines on the customer side (no Bricks tested yet).

It even does work for us with a Pipeline-50, but we had to configure the switchtype as
JAPAN, a nice tip from this list. But since this was reported to work only "most times",
there still is a need for a fix.
The implementation of NET3-switchtype seems not to be compatible with local ISDN in
respect to CLID, especially combining Max <-> Pipeline. The calls are not dropped but
time out, as reported by others on the list.
