Modem connections can be limited to V.34 starting in 5.0Ap13.  
Under the Mod Config->Term Serv
You can set "MDM Modulation" to K46 or V34.  

BUT, even though your box will only be taking v.34 calls, You most likely
will experience the connectivity problems that a good chunk of us are
seeing , Plus the excessive amount of CRC errors on JPEGS.
