(ASCEND) reset modem in Max 4048
Hi,
The is further to my previous question on resetting individual modem on Max
4048 via SNMP. I have tried the following in the meantime,
> snmpinfo -m set -v -c ab123 -o /home/t/tstsang2/pm/mib.defs -h max1
mdmLineState.$1=6
where pm/mib.defs contains
mdmLineTable 1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.3 Aggregate not-accessible
mdmLineEntry mdmLineTable.1 Aggregate not-accessible
mdmLineState mdmLineEntry.2 INTEGER read-write
mandatory
and the result
> malformed line: "mdmLineTable 1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.3 Aggregate
not-accessible
I've also tried the following as well,
> snmpinfo -m set -v -c ipoca -h max1 1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.3.1.2.$1=6
but with the following message
> no syntax defined for object "1.3.6.1.2.1.38.1.3.1.2.48"
Well, what I am trying to do is to do modem resetting work via SNMP, so we
can reset individual modem from time to time.
For our other terminal servers, we have a script to telnet in and do the
resetting automatically, but Max seems not allow this.
Any help or solution to this problem?
