A quick side-note here (having seen all of the config-loss messages)...
In this case, the customer used the Xmodem/console port method to
do the upgrade. That method blows away the whole configuration. It's
designed that way. To recover the config., we recommend saving it
and then re-loading, but it should be noted that the console method
for saving the config (by default) does not save passwords....
TFTP methods save everything. TFTP upgrade has been designed to avoid
losing configurations, and any case where something is lost should
be reported to "support@ascend.com" with as much detail as possible.
