It is VERY important that you get a device that can run Ice Cream 
Sandwich. Whether it's naturally ICS-capable or through a modded ROM. 
Performance might not be an issue for you, but stability would be, so you 
want something new-ish (older phones have a huge problem with ICS).

I'd suggest a phone rather than a tablet, because then you know you have 
ALL the hardware an Android device can have.

An HTC Sense might be a bit too old for this, but I haven't done a TON of 
research on it.
