I'm trying to play Penny Arcade: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness
(which has a Linux version for anybody interested in such things.) But I
can't get it to verify my purchase code. Apparently it uses port 443 to
connect back to the server and that is somehow blocked.

I checked my Ubuntu setup and the firewall isn't running. It doesn't look
like my DSL modem is blocking that port. It might be my ISP. How do I
find out where it's being blocked? Can I do a traceroute that checks for
ports?

But then, if port 443 is blocked I shouldn't be able to get an SSL
connection and I know I can do that because I've pulled up my USBANK bank
account info. So it seems like this must be a bug somewhere...but where?

Thanks,
Brady
