Maybe do something similar to what my TiVo does? My TiVo is hooked up to a Linux box via a null modem cable. The Linux box runs pppd on the serial device, and answers calls from TiVo, and forwards the traffic over it's ethernet connection. Not sure if a similar setup would be useful to you or not, but throwing it out there anyway. :) Andrew S.
