I just stumbled on this, and seeing as it hasn't hit /. yet and does mention a local linux company that's involved in SAN technology which we were all discussing recently, I figured it was pretty safe to post. http://www.thestreet.com/_yahoo/tech/ronnaabramson/10133116.html The article talks about Redhat's recent earnings report, but a few paragraphs down is the really interesting part (to me): "Red Hat also announced that it has agreed to acquire privately held storage infrastructure software company Sistina Software for $31 million in stock. The acquisition is expected to be completed in early January." Getting Sistina's impressive storage clustering technology into a fairly large linux distribution sounds like a good thing to me.
