there should be an apm rpm which includes an apm binary, and it is usually 
installed be default, on newer systems you may have a acpi rpm,

ACPI is apm++

possible, but my hunch is that most people would rather exhaust all
non-pay options first.

Installfests are usually a 6+ hour event, and it is usually on a 
saturday,

we have had installfests at churches before...

unforunately, anything outside of the interstate ring is most likely out 
of bounds for this group... comments anyone?
