I am quite new to Linux, (as this is my first *sucessful* install) and want to install the apm on my laptop. (CPQ Presario 915US, AMD Athlon XP 1800+, 512MB RAM, etc etc) How do I install the APM on my system, and how do I use it? Links to resources work as well, as long as they're set up for a newbie like me. (never compiled or anything...literal newbie...) Also, if we pick a date, I can *see* about us *maybe* using my school for an installfest, but, there might be a 'fee' associated with this. (Getting a few of our school machines up and running, for example) Afterschool on weekdays would be easiest, next would be Saturdays. Let me know. Otherwise, maybe could we use a church? Mine might be availible.
