When you install debconf, tell it 

    1. To operate in non-interactive mode
    2. Email you notices above (choose level of question)

Most packages are using debconf now-a-days, with a few rogue apps still
using their home-cooked config scripts.  By woody+1 release, I'm hoping
to get rid of all of the latter.  FAI, as a project, has unearthed many
problems with trying an unattended installation.
