   Should Tran not replace your motherboard, may I recommend a Soyo 
K7VTA-Pro? Mwave is selling it for $95 and they have a great deal where if 
you purchase a mobo and processor, they will throw in an AMD approved heat 
sink. The board is cheap but excellent--several Linux sites have 
recommended it over anything Asus offers.

   The only "flaw" with it is that the power cable is positioned so that it 
runs over the heatsink fan. I solved this problem with a twist-tie. :)
