Oracle is written in C, Forte and Netbeans in Java.

I _NEED_ a good Java IDE but all of them are written in Java. And
sloww. On any machine I've tried - K6-III/500MHz, PIII/700MHz (at home,
both with 256MB RAM), a big 4 proc Sun at the office.

Sun is the next Microsoft in this respect. No matter how fast your
processor is, Java will be slooooooowwww...
