In mailservers and high performance boxen I use ICP Vortex SCSI
controllers with 4 drives, 1 hot swap and 3 RAID 5. Very Expensive.
Then I use Escalade 6400 for IDE RAID. High performance from cheap
drives.

Both are linux compatible.
