I worked around it by using an external monitor... it picked out a nice
refresh rate (it even worked on the LCD) and all went well.  I not
familiar with the SuSE way of doing things but what I have is the "trial
version" from their FTP.

I guess they don't release "real" versions for download anymore?

That's a bit of a drive from Ohio. ;)  I joined the list during the SGI
fiasco and stayed on cause it has to be one of the better LUGs I've seen.
