 Ok, let me get this straight...

 Tom finally begins to come to his senses and realizes that cluecheck and
eject have not been a healthy thing for netrek.

 But he's still unable to admit he was wrong, and so comes up with a concept
from the FOCS of a clue only server.

 Jeff points out exactly the same thing which is mentioned in the FOCS...
getting enough people together to fill such a server is going to be
extremely hard.

 And so Tom calls Jeff a moron?

 Maybe the idea of a basic server would be worth a try.  I'd like to further
suggest that it have no rank.  In Myth there was a concept of ranked and
unranked games.  The unranked games were generally played by those who just
wanted to have fun.  The ranked games were played by the elitist jerks.

 Just make everyone an Admiral to start with, and be done with it, or if it
does have rank make the basis for it by hours only.
