You are right, this isn't a problem in the robot.  This also isn't a problem
in DaemonII.  While I was looking at the source I think I know where it is
happening at.  In the ntserv process we have the intrupt() function in
redraw.c.  This function clears the inputMask structure if the player is
dead or exploding.  In which case even if the player sends a message packet,
ntserv won't handle it if the player is exploding.
