sendmail has security problems every once in a while, but i havn't seen
anything major in quite a while.  sendmail is the standard for mail
exchange. the only other thing that i would use besides sendmail is qmail,
but qmail is a major memory hog compared to sendmail
because you are on a dynamic dialup, you don't get the option to be a SMPT
reciver, you will have to recive via fetchmail.  the best thing to do is
this.. setup your sendmail to query for local outgoing mail, and on
connect of PPP, you can configure it to send all query'd mail out to your
ISP's mail server, where proper delivery will happen
