linuxconf 1.13r4 on Redhat 5.0

Anyone successfully run linuxconf-1.13r4 on Redhat 5.0?

I am getting conflicting READMEs on this. Redhat states that partial
support of linuxconf is native in 5.0. Linuxconf saying nothing about
this.

Install linuxconf on a 5.0 machine breaks all modules, ie no kernel
modules are loaded when booted.

Any advise?
