fTape Drives

Hey all,

the picnic sounds like a good idea... after classes let out!

However, right now, I've got two ftape questions. I recently upgraded to
ftape 3.04d in order to do some end of year backups on one of those cheap
Travan drives (TapeStor3200). The ftape s/w seems to recognize the drive
correctly, but it cannot recognize that I am using a 2.2GB TR-3 tape. It
does not recognize the length of the tape correctly, and thus cannot
calculate the tape size correctly. ?1? Is there a way to specify the tape
length or size to the driver?

?2?	When ftape installs, it creates a whole lot of *ft* devices in the
/dev/ directory. What is the difference between /dev/nrft0, /dev/nrft1,
/dev/nrft2, and /dev/nrft3 ? (I've managed to figure out the rewinding,
non-rewinding, and compressed parts.)

TIA

Ben
