Yes, Pine has filters. I perfer procmail though. There's something about
being able to make your mail do a backflip, run in circles, pipe it through
a few programs (or off to /dev/null) and whistle dixie all without even
starting your mail program.

Another advantage is that you can sort your mail in such a way that it is
compatible with both pine and IMAP. It's nice that it will keep you from
being tied to a specific mail client. (I go between pine, IMP, and Netscape
Mail daily on what seems to be a daily basis...) And hey, the filters are
pretty simple to write. Edit your .procmailrc on your mail server and you
are set. For even mor fun, throw fretchmail into a cronjob to pick up mail
from all your various mail accounts and procmail will filter what fetchmail
recives before delivery. All in all, very slick.
