Funky Fixed-Freq Monitors

Hey, everyone.

I've got a bit of a project that I would like some advice on.

I have aquired a 20" monitor free of charge - the only catch is it is a
fixed-frequency monitor. I know these things are rather difficult to set
up without special fixed-frequency video cards - but I know it is
possible...

The monitor is an Ikegami C/T 20-HA.

I've done a bit of research, and have discovered (as per a few web
sites) the Horizontal and Vertical sync frequencies for the monitor. (64
horiz, 60 vert).

In a nutshell, I've tried setting these sync rates in X, but the monitor
still doesn't sync right. It looks just like a standard vga monitor does
when you hook it up to a PC doing 800x600. When I hook it up to another
digital monitor, I can verify on the on-screen display that the sync
frequencies being generated match the specs (64x60).

The video card I'm using is supposed to be able to handle
sync-on-composite video. (ATI All-in-wonder 128).

Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

taking away your constitutional rights:

"I'm rather jubilant now. What Judge Kaplan did was blow away every one of
these brittle and fragile rebuttals. He threw out fair use; he threw out
reverse engineering; he threw out linking."
