LDAP addressbooks

Anyone know of any way to mimick the Global Addressbook that Exchange has
when using sendmail?

I had a way to do this using LDAP. Clients running Outlook97 and a free add-on
called MessageWare. I could set the default Addressbook to the configured
MessageWare/LDAP directory service and it worked great. Viewing the
Addressbook produced the listing of all LDAP entries.

Outlook 2000 now has LDAP capabilities built-in so I thought it would work
even better. Wrong. I can configure an LDAP directory service, and I
can search against it, but it will not be default list everyone in the
LDAP directory. Perhaps this is by design since most LDAP directories
are huge.

Anyone know a way to do this, with or without LDAP? This is one feature
that users expect when you move them from Exchange to sendmail.

Thanks.
