Well, you should probably start off with a boot/recovery disk and mount
the various partitions on your hard drives to make sure that the
partition is still there and hasn't been corrupted. It's possible that
the partitions are ordered differently for whatever reason, meaning that
you need to change the root device in your LILO configuration.
