Hey all, I am trying to configure sendmail to be a email gateway for my users at
work. We have a weird setup due to expansion so bear with me. The users are on varions ISP’s in various locations. Right now the mail
server is on a 512 DSL (soon I will master our domain, but not until I get the
email gateway configured) When I try to sendmail with Outlook or some such using my linnux box as
the outgoing mail server I get errors in the prograss dialog. Examination of
the logs for sendmail show this error: Mar 27 20:39:29 hercules sendmail[22430]: e2S2dTu22430:
from=<ben@cssolutionsinc.com>, size=0, class=0, nrcpts=0, proto=SMTP,
daemon=MTA, relay=dsl-2-158.usinternet.com [216.17.47.158] (may be forged) I added the domain that this workstation belongs to to
/etc/mail/relay-domains and ran make in that dir, then restarted sendmail to
virtually no effect. There has to be a way for me to relay mail for hosts
outside the network I just can’t seem to reason out how. FYI we are running
Debian woody, kernel 2.3.99-pre3, and sendmail 8.10. anyhelp would be greatly
appreciated. Ben Lutgens 651-623-6162 Sysadmin / IT Consultant CS Solutions Inc |
