DSL
Whoever was asking more about DSL. Netscape is being very bad, so your
message went to /dev/null (or /dev/netscape-heaven)
The $69 was probably the setup and installation costs which are
currently waived. The UF-West phone people are pretty non-clued, so
they quoted you the wrong thing. Don't even tell them you use Linux.
Just play their game. You want the external hardware kit and you have a
happy Windows 98 PC with as much free resources as you need. You want
the self install (why pay $70 to have someone plug a bunch of stuff in)?
The Telco charge is $29.95 / month for the DSL service, and the ISP
charge is extra, depending on who you choose. Myself, VISI, Sound,
Sihope, Citilink, USWest.net, and quite a few others all provide DSL
service at varying prices depending on what you need.
