sawmill, wm docks and panel

I just got helix code and was playing around with sawmill. It looks good.
I'm thinking of switching from windowmaker.. but, what about my dockapps.
I love them. Panel can swallop them sorta, but it sometimes flakes out
(add swalloed app, res 68x68). Also, panel says sawmill isn't gnome
compliant, and I can't get sawmill to maximize and still leave the panel
showing. Is there a way to use my dock apps like I do in windowmaker but
under sawmill either with the pnael or not. Are there more panel doc apps
than come with deffault gnome install? The cdplayer and mixer are very
sad.
