Well hello people-folk of the TCLUG!

Just to jump in on this for no real good reason, up here in ye olde
hinterland, my cablemodem is 40 a month (supposed to be fifty, because I
don't have cable, but I worked it).  My node is *dead* and I regularly see
1.5 Mbit downloads.  Also, even though nobody mentioned that it was
static, my ip hasn't changed since I got it.

I like napster.  It's the first program my girlfriend ever said "hey this
is cool" about (she's a Luddite).  However, whoever said "it's a bandwith
issue" has got it right.  If it was my network, napster would be gone.

Oh and yeah I still buy cds.  I use napster for oldies and for songs I
simply can't find on cd (I listen to weird music).

Here's a novel/silly idea:  download entire albums, then mail the artist 5
or 6 bucks :)

A question:
Ok so I want to play Q3.  I've got a fast computer and a fast
connection, I just need a voodoo2 1000, voodoo3 2000, voodoo3 3000, voodoo3
3500...  Right now I've got a mach64 card with 8mb.  What would folks
recommend I buy?  Are the voodoo3 3xxx worth the extra money?

Another question:
I picked up a NeXTstation Turbo 33 **droolin an grinnin**!  I got it
rooted and am waiting for a replacement mouse and nextstep 3.3 to show
up.  I remember way off in the distant past, someone mentioned they also
had one.  I'm wondering if that person is still around.

A third question:  where's the error
I'm sure many of you have seen this, but if you haven't..

a = b
