*chuckle* I downloaded just the kernel, first to just get the
update es1371 module out of it, then to compile reiserfs into it and
install it. A few functions need to be added to 'ksysms.ver', but other
than that, it worked fine.

It seems to work fine, though the agpgart stuff consistently
badly crashes the ASUS K7M Athlon board with a Matrox card. *sigh* I'm
not sure if it's the kernel or the card. Since it's a system I'm
building for someone else, I removed the agpgart module, just to be
safe.

BTW everyone, reiserfs is GREAT! I had little fear of pushing
the reset button when the AGP stuff was crashing the box, and reiserfs
recovered beautifully every time. As an added bonus, it's FAST! Much
fast than ext2 or ext3.

My only worry was having to recompile the kernel with every
upgrade. I set up an 'rlinux' lilo boot in case he upgraded, so he
could get back to his old kernel. If he upgrades, I'll just log into
his machine remotely, and hand-compile a new kernel for him myself. :-)

Have fun (if at all possible),
