        other than the fact that there exists a version of OSAS 6.0 for Linux?
        no.

        I have no idea what Peachtree looks like.
        we use Open Systems Accounting Software v 6.0 for Linux. (there's a
version for RedHat, and a version for Slackware (!) on the CD.) it looks to
be a direct recompile of their SCO version. pretty abominable User
Interface, on the whole. took me months to debug the install.
        it uses telnet to access the server; but there's only one Windows
terminal emulator that i've found, which will do the necessary SCOANSI
emulation (TinyTerm; which is anything but tiny). :( and that one is only
now coming out with SSH support. the telnet client is also not cheap ($99
per seat).
        also, printing is a mucking mess. there's a bug in the software;
something about not putting a form feed character at the end of a report,
which makes the RH printfilter hang. (only happens of reports of one page or
less.. multipage reports print fine). turns out I had to edit the
printfilter, and change a line of sed code (the one that does CR->CR-LF
translation), to a line of awk. now it works fine.

now if they could make their fancy-GUI NT client talk to a Linux server;
they'd have something there. :)

anyone seen Appgen's product?
