XFree86 4.0

  Hi,

So, anyone play with it yet?

I got it running fine at work, but that's on a non-3D-accelerated card,
and with a rather simple setup. 

At home for some reason building/installing it fails to produce the
XFree86 binary (ie the actual server). I DLed my binaries from work and
managed to get it running, but it seems to have a few glitches. For
example, copying the example Logitech MouseMan+ configuration from the
XFree84 docs causes the mouse not to work at all. Configuring it as an
Intellimouse, also suggested by the docs, doesn't work either. 

Also, some extentions seem to be missing, like SHAPE and dpms(!!!), and
the docs don't mention how to start/include them.

Most apps work fine, but WindowMaker seems to have some weird shadow
problems on my Matrox G200 (the Riva128 at work didn't have them).

Speed for 2D stuff does seem to be even faster than the lightning-fast
Matrox was doing before. I havent recompiled any 3D stuff yet, and have
actually moved back to 3.3.6 until I figure out the DPMS thing.

Anyone else have any comments about X 4.0? Anyone want to lend me anothe
Matrox card and another monitor so I can try Xinerama? (:
