Qpopper over NFS

Eudora recommends against running Qpopper on top of an NFS mounted mail spool, 
but Real Time is gearing up for a new mail server and I want to be able to
migrate over to new machine.

So, I want to export the mail spool from the old machine to the new machine
and start running POP services on the new machine.

Anyone have any experiences on running Qpopper over NFS?
