Piece of cake!

Just use a serial cable with a null-modem adapter at one side.  (or a
null-modem cable).   Note that a normal, striaght-through cable will not
work - the null modem adapter switches the send and receive lines. 

When you have the hardware set up, then look in the /etc/inittab file for
an example of how to set up the getty process on the serial port.
