But they wouldn't have done this, as they probably meant no harm or
offense. Your assumption that they did reflects badly on you.

Or perhaps, from now on, you could make no assumptions about qualities
that the OS is incapable of having (i.e. elitism), and simply judge it by
its worth. Some OpenBSD developers made a silly and not-very-nice mistake.
This doesn't make BSD in general (or even OpenBSD specifically) an
'elitist' OS. It makes BSD a perfectly good OS with some developers that
may or may not be rude. Your subjectivism is telling.

No. The effect would be slightly different. Right now, we think the
OpenBSD developers responsible _might_ be somewhat annoying in not
immediately making their software portable to every god-awful UNIX variant
under the sun. We _know_, however, that you are being, yes, rude, but
also judgemental and childish.
