Tiny laptop firewall distro suggestions, please
I'm trying to get my boat anchor er... ThinkPad 750P set up as a linux
firewall, since no one on the planet seems able to get the sound or X
running correctly. It's just as well, because it's a 33MHz 486 with a
gray-scale 9.5" screen.
So, I'd like to make it a firewall, and I won't have to actually look at
it much.
Here's the rub: I want to use the original 170MB drive that came with
the machine.
Another rub: There's no CD drive, but I have two IBM Home & Away NIC's
that do work with linux (I installed on a 2.1GB drive I had installed).
I've tried Red Hat Linux 6.2, and even when I pare off all I think I
can, it still requires about 180MB, and I would like to have a *little*
room left over for log files and such.
Can you kind folks suggest some distributions I should try that will
actually install on this tiny drive?
Many thanks,
