Multiple NE2000 cards

When setting up multiple NE2000 cards on a system, does the driver need to 
be compiled into the kernel?  I've been experimenting with having two of 
these cards in a single system, but I can't get modules to work with both 
cards..  A module will load for the first card, but not the second card.  I 
suppose there's a secret incantation for modprobe to get both cards to work 
or something?

Also, this is a RedHat 5.1 system (without X-Windows), just FYI..
