Here's how to get out:

Save your character:  `save

Shut down the server

Edit crossfire/lib/dm_file, adding something like:
	*:*:*
at the end--be more carefull if you don't trust everyone that might
play on your server.

Restart the server

Start up one client and load your trapped character

Start up another client and create a new temporary character

Using the temporary character, enter the following commands:
	'dm
	'summon <stuck-character-name>
	'quit

In general, it is a good idea to save some word of recall scrolls for
these cases.  The DM hack should only be used in extreme cases as it
could be considered a form of cheating--I consider it fair when I get
stuck because a map reset while I was in a map further along the
quest.  It's up to you, though.
