CF: character crossover from 0.90.5 -> 0.91.0?

can anyone tell me if you can take players files from 0.90.5 and use
them in 0.90.1? I'm about to upgrade, but a lot of us in Cardiff have
some characters we've put a lot of time into developing and we'd like
to carry on with them if possible.
