(ASCEND) Leasedline Pipeline<->CISCO
Dear Folks,
I have a isdn leased-line between a Cisco 3640 and a
Pipeline 50 running TAOS 6.1.19.
I have successfully set up the link with Encaps=MPP,
Min/Max Ch.Count=2 and ChannelUsage=leased/leased.
The Calltype is=nailed/mpp (Group=1,2).
On the Cisco I have both interfaces configured as follows:
interface BRI3/7:x
ip unnumbered Ethernet0/0
no ip redirects
no ip directed-broadcast
encapsulation ppp
no ip route-cache
no ip mroute-cache
no keepalive
no fair-queue
no cdp enable
ppp multilink
!
Additionally I have a static route on the Cisco:
ip route 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.255 BRI5/7:1
ip route 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.255 BRI5/7:2
to do a load balancing between those IF's.
The Cisco AND the Pipeline both manage perfectly the
load balancing.
Let's do a
ping -s 16000 192.168.1.1
this works without any problems with about 2000 ms.
But in case I send a
ping -s 32000 192.168.1.1
so we got a larger packet size than the bundled
link actually can handle, the Pipeline stops answering
to any packets. The link dies.
In this situation the Pipe's Lan-Session to our Cisco
is still up! The Pipeline doesn't see the broken link.
The Cisco LCP stays up for some minutes and then goes
down. Clearing the IF on the Cisco, or doing a
shutdown/no shutdown on both IFs doesn't help.
Anyone? Please!
Regards,
Sascha
