RE: (ASCEND) MRTG and Ascend
Here's an alternate way to use mrtg for port monitoring on ascends (only tested on max 40xx).  It's a kludge of expect scripts to terminal commands instead of snmp walking the MIBs, gives us much better performance.  You'll need to grok *nix and modify all the scripts a little to get it working.

Is anybody monitoring number of dial-up users on a TNT using MRTG? 
I have MRTG up and running but I can't find the right MIBs to query.
