(ASCEND) 7.0.22 modem code problems.

I tried 7.0.22 (from .4) on my 4048s and discovered that it kills my modem
connect rate... I went from about 10% to about 75% failure to connect rate.

This has worse impact then just pissing off the customers, in that the
high failure rate marks modems as dead, so pretty soon my first max
in the bank runs out of avalable modems... and every caller thereafter
gets a fast busy.

Needless to say, I'm back to 7.0.4.

Did I miss something in the upgrade?  I didn't see a new option of
"Break Compatability with existing modems: Yes" anywhere, but that
could just be me.
