(ASCEND) Connects, but no ping
Has anyone else seen this.
The customer dials in with a V.90 modem, connects, etc. and then nothing -
if we ping them we get timeouts but the Max TNT (TAOS 7.0.4) shows them
connected. However, if we put a 28.8K modem in the same computer, everthing
works fine. If we bring their computer into our shop and use our known good
phone lines, they connect fine with the V.90 modem.
This happens with both Win95 and Win98 and doesn't seem to be related to
modem brand. It is not an intermitant problem; it happens everytime they
dial-in. Our guess is that it has something to do with the phone line, but
what?
