Re: (ASCEND) ISDN is dying out - DSL is killing it
It all boils down to the fact that you can't supply the bandwidth on the
backend for those prices without oversubscribing the hell out of your
customers. Of course all DSL companies are not offering that kind of
pricing because not all of them are planning on oversubscribing. We charge
a lot more than $50/ month for 1.5m service, but we monitor our network for
capacity and upgrade if it hits 60% which guarantees you will see the
bandwidth you pay for. This is not something that would be practical @
49.95/month.
