(ASCEND) pbx-max problem

Hi,

Does anyone have any knowledge of running a MAX4000 through a PRI card
on a PBX switch? So far we've got it to work and answer all incoming
calls, but when we try to dial out (to a Pipeline50), it gets connected
but doesnt bring up the LAN session. If you turn off 'Ans Voice calls'
on the Pipeline, it no longer gets connected.

So far, from doing traces on the PBX (NT1 type), the call the Ascend is
making appears to be a speech call! How can I force the Ascend to make
only a data call, or is this a problem with the protocol Im using
(DPNSS)
