Both/neither...,

1)Pipe would not work with SPID I know works on other boxes.
2)Pipe *did* choose and work on SPID I did not know I had..in effect.
3)Later on, it WOULD work when set to 000.
No idea what 1 & 3 happened..

call it a "WTH..."
