(ASCEND) Digital/Analog Dial-up

Perhaps someone on this list can help me.

I would like to support both digital and anolog dial-up users over the
same set of 4 BRI lines (8-channels) using
a MAX 1800. I would like to have either a single number that they both
dial for access or, perhaps, two numbers -
one for the analog users and one for the digital users.

However, BellSouth tells me I can have a hunt group on voice or data
but not both. It appears from the documentation for the 1800 that the
max can route the call to a digital modem or to the bridge/router
according
to the dialed number. This indicates to me that I need two hunt groups
- one for voice and one for data - and that
I essentially have to allocate (statically) a couple of BRI's for voice
and a couple for data. This will enevitably
lead to inefficiencies in the use of the lines.

Am I missing something here? It seems to me that there should be a way
to do this such that any BRI channel can
handle (and be routed properly) either an analog or digital call.

Thanks in advance,

don't know if I've been added yet.
