Re: (ASCEND) Quiescenting PRIs

I couldn't agree more, Hell, Since October I've been kicking
users off by rebooting the box to recover IP addresses or to
fix some-other problem which has since been fixed by ascend
engineering.

The Quality of Service that I'm offering to my customers now
through TNT's is not very good, I can always see those customers
that have been ftping something over 20 megs, and they are just about
done when BAMM! Here comes the reboot :(

In regards to quiescing the PRI's I don't have any TNT's served off
of DMS switches, They are all of 5-E's and it does seem to work
the issue is you have an Ascend Engineer on site, If he confirms
the problem, It's my opinion that it should be directly escalated
to through TAC to engineering. Ascend has to learn to trust the
judgment of their SE's in the field. At least getting the word into
Ascend engineering is now possible, hell a year ago I was never even
possible to learn the names of the engineering crew.
